ºÚÁÏÉç is a leading, coeducational school in the Anglican tradition catering for students from Early Learning to Year 12.

We are seeking a Head of Counselling Services to have an overview of matters relating to student wellbeing including, but not only, the provision of counselling, assessments, opportunities and programs in support for students, staff and parents of the School.

In particular, the successful applicant will demonstrate the following competencies:

  1. Sound knowledge and experience in managing child and adolescent mental health and wellbeing related conditions, assessments and strategies
  2. Exceptional leadership qualities and demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team of psychologists in an educational setting
  3. Positive and timely counselling / outcomes re student referrals to external medical / counselling specialists
  4. Professional, timely and confidential dealings with all students and parents, including detailed reports
  5. Experience in developing and presenting related professional development to colleagues, students and families
  6. Initiative in suggesting and implementing opportunities / programs in support of student wellbeing
  7. Efficient and effective follow up of matters brought to attention
  8. Sound understanding of NCCD requirements
  9. Excellent written, verbal and digital communication skills
  10. Maintain registration with AHPRA and complete appropriate professional development required by the School.  

This is a full time, ongoing position commencing January 2026. School and leadership experience an advantage. A salary commensurate with experience will be offered. The successful applicant must be a registered psychologist with AHPRA.
